What does "9H pencil hardness" actually mean?

The "H" scale measures how resistant a surface is to being scratched. The Mitsubishi® Uni scale runs from 6B (softest) to 9H (hardest). Achieving 9H means the surface cannot be scratched even by the hardest standard pencil — the highest rating available.
Why was the protective film removed before testing?

To ensure the test measured the actual screen protector substrate — not the temporary protective film applied during manufacturing. This is standard SGS practice and ensures the hardness rating reflects real-world usage after unboxing.
Is this test the same as "Mohs hardness"?
